U.S. Navy is coming to Cleveland for Navy Week

The ship is participated in Navy Week festivities in 2012.( CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland will host one of 14 Navy Weeks nationside, with a visit from Navy sailors and ships before Labor Day.

The Navy is coming Aug. 27-Sept. 2. That coincides with the Cleveland National Air Show at Burke Lakefront Airport on Labor Day weekend, featuring the iconic U.S. Navy Blue Angels flying acrobatics team.

The idea is to give Clevelanders a chance to learn about the armed service branch.

Navy Week last came to Cleveland in 2012 , to celebrate the bicentennial of the War of 1812.
