(Photo: Courtesy of the Navy Office of Community Outreach) The U.S. Navy Band is coming back to Pensacola for the first time in more than three years.
The band’s Country Current concert will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Saenger Theatre. The performance is free and open to the public.
Pensacola was selected by the U.S. Navy Band as part of its seven-city, four-state tour in 2018.
The band, known for its modern country and bluegrass blend, takes concert tours in certain regions of the country on a yearly basis.
The performances are family friendly events, meant to provide entertainment to veterans, families, individuals and those interested in joining the Navy.
The band last performed in Pensacola in February 2015 .
